History & Future of Biogenic Green Technology in Sri Lanka

In year 2008 few scientist get to gather and discussed about the future problems our country will face due to use of chemicals for Health agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Environment and decided to work as a team to develop Biogenic Green Technology. After a one year team realized that we are unable to move forward without a statutory body. Therefore we have formed a Biogenic Green Technology Research Institute and build up a link with the scientist who works in various fields in Sri Lanka. In the mean time we have discussed and invited with some business organizations to join with us and provide facilities to conduct field test using technology what we have developed.

Nelna Farm agreed to provide all facilities to conduct our field test in their farms. Pregathi Foundation at Anuradhapura having 15,000 farmer network agreed to use our Organic Fertilizer for their paddy cultivation and helped us to conduct our field test. In the field of Solid Waste Management we have done our field test using municipal waste dumping yard and controlled the Odor generated by the solid waste dumping yard. After years of suffering and hard work, BGTRI happy to announce that we have developed "BIOGENIC GREEN TECHNOLOGY" suitable for the fields of AGRICULTURE, ANIMAL HUSBANDRY, SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT and HEALTH AND NUTRITION to achieve sustainable development Not only that we have identify the burning issues of the rural and urban sector farmers during our field trials. Therefore our "BUSINESS INCUBATOR SYSTEM" will help to solve burning issues of the rural and urban farmers. Final we would like to invite all of you to join with us to achieve

Application of synthetic chemicals to increase the production of plants and animals, can leads to serious health and environmental hazards.

Applying the synthetic chemicals increase the quality and production of plants and animal materials and for preservation, is not a unique solution.

Best on our own experience, healthy plants and animals will not be attack by pest or pathogenic organisms.  BGTRI believe that the best solutions are to maintain the sustainability of a balance eco system and healthy soil condition and hygienic farm environment thus, plant, animals and human will build up their own strong immunity mechanisms to fight against the all problems.
